Summer Proposal Submissions?

Now that the spring semester is over, it’s time to plan for your summer proposal deadlines!

SDSU Research Foundation’s sponsored research development (SRD) department encourages faculty to contact their development specialists as soon as possible regarding summer proposal submissions.  To ensure that your proposal application is submitted on time,  please provide SRD with final proposal materials at least five (5) days in advance of the deadline.  The early preparation will help to prevent technical difficulties and give staff ample time to troubleshoot any systems issues that might occur.  This will also give department chairs, deans, and unit heads time to review and approve your proposal application prior to submission.

One important date to note is the NIH July 5th deadline, which falls right after the July 4th holiday.  If you are anticipating a proposal submission on this date, it would be best if final proposal materials are ready by Friday, June 29th.

If you have questions or would like to discuss your summer proposal application plans, please contact your development specialist right away.  For a list of college/department assignments, please see the Sponsored Research Development Directory.  You may also contact Jennie Amison, director, sponsored research development, at jamison@foundation.sdsu.edu; or by phone at 619-594-4478.

The sponsored research development team looks forward to helping with your proposal submissions!

Department of Education Reviewers Needed!

The Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE) is looking for peer reviewers for its discretionary grant programs.  These reviewers (also called field readers or peer reviewers) will independently read and evaluate grant applications submitted to OPE.  This system allows qualified individuals interested in reviewing applications for OPE grant programs to apply online.
