Expand communications and educational efforts with central staff.

  • Improve communication in all directions, across all divisions.
  • Develop and implement an employee communications program to educate and engage Foundation central staff.
  • Provide appropriate, effective and timely communication.
  • Develop and disseminate clear policies on communication - who receives what, when and how.

Increase communications and educational efforts with principal investigators, project staff and other account holders.

  • Create additional opportunities for discussion and dissemination of information.
  • Develop mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Develop mechanisms for purposeful collaboration with the University.
  • Establish and encourage collegial interactions among all administrative units, academic units, and service units.

  • Communicate issues of importance to administrators and faculty.
  • Build trust in senior and executive level management.
  • Position SDSU Research Foundation as one of SDSU's most valuable assets.

Enhance outreach and educational efforts with external stakeholders.

  • Serve as ambassadors of SDSU Research Foundation.
  • Present SDSU Research Foundation in a positive light.
  • Promote, publicize and recognize research achievement.
  • Sustain and develop new regional partnerships with industry and local government agencies.
  • Provide opportunities for staff engagement with the community and external audiences.

Foster communication through use of electronic mail, the World Wide Web, and other electronic communication technologies.

  • Complete implementation of a centralized e-mail communications database.
  • Enhance appearance and content of Foundation web site.
  • Develop and launch a web portal.
