What is Grants.gov?

Grants.gov is the new unified clearinghouse between applicant (SDSU PIs) and agency systems (NIH, NSF, DOE, etc.) for all federal grant opportunities.

What is PureEdge?

PureEdge is the electronic form-based application that is currently provided by the federal government to facilitate electronic proposal submissions to funding agencies via Grants.gov. PIs download PureEdge application form sets to their desktops and complete them by filling them in, similar to typing information on to a paper form. An Adobe version of application forms will soon replace the PureEdge application. The government has announced plans to transition all funding opportunities to the Adobe application in 2008.

Do I need to use PureEdge, Adobe or InfoEd to submit my proposal?

Please contact your Proposal Development Specialist to help determine the most appropriate and efficient submission mechanism.

How can I volunteer to pilot InfoEd system-to-system transmissions?

If you are interested in being included in the preliminary InfoEd implementation, please e-mail Jennie Amison, Associate Director of Sponsored Research Development, to be included in the pilot submissions.
