Welcome, Dan Gilbreath, Executive Director
SDSU President Stephen L. Weber has announced the appointment of Dan M. Gilbreath as Executive Director of the SDSU Research Foundation. He brings more than 30 years of higher education financial management experience to his position.
Dan has a bachelor's degree in accounting from SDSU, and an MBA, also from SDSU. He served as SDSU's controller from 1990 to 1999 and held various management and accounting positions at SDSU during the 17 years prior to his appointment as controller. Dan also served as Director of the Office of Post Award Financial Services at UCSD, directing the financial management of UCSD's grant and contract funds totaling approximately $600 million, retiring in 2006.
