This Statement of Work covers the need for the services of a college student(s) to provide technical and/or analytical support in the field of software Test & Evaluation for the Domestic SEI Intelligence Cycle Tools project. DSIC Tools is a state-of-the art software application that enables analysts to isolate and identify the source of specific radar pulse signatures and report them to other users via publish and subscribe technology.
Undergraduate or graduate student in computer science or computer engineering. Course work/experience using Java and C/C++ is desired.
A Navy Contract position is available through the SDSU Research Foundation. Work involves performing data analysis at the Naval Laboratories in Old Town or Point Loma (SSCSD or NHRC). Student data analysts employed on the Navy Contract gain insight and work experience in a variety of laboratory research projects related to their major field.
Must be currently enrolled in a college or university in San Diego County. Must be a U.S. Citizen (proof of citizenship must be produced at the time of hire - birth certificate, certificate of naturalization or a U.S. passport must be viewed - the document must be an original or certified copy).
Hours are flexible to accommodate class schedule. Work is generally performed Monday through Friday, between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. Contractors normally average 20 hours per week when school is in session; 40 hours per week maximum during semester/quarter breaks or vacations. Actual work schedule is arranged between the Navy work sponsor and the student contractor.
