This Statement of Work covers the need for the services of a college student(s) to provide technical and/or analytical support in the field of computer sciences for Code 55380 V-22 Comprehensive Automated Maintenance Environment (AME) Optimized (CAMEO) Project. The purpose of the CAMEO project is to support the Automated Maintenance Environment effort for the V-22 Osprey Tilt Rotor Aircraft. Code 55380 provides software engineering, IV & V, configuration management, and general information technology (IT) support.
A Navy Contract position is available through the SDSU Research Foundation. Work involves performing data analysis at the Naval Laboratories in Old Town or Point Loma (SSCSD or NHRC). Student data analysts employed on the Navy Contract gain insight and work experience in a variety of laboratory research projects related to their major field.
Undergraduate and/or graduate student, Computer Science or Software Engineering major, with desired coursework/experience using HTML, Java, and Visual Basic is desired.
Must be currently enrolled in a college in San Diego County. Minimum of 8 units for students. Graduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 units or enrolled in qualified full-time coursework (i.e. thesis or doctoral dissertation). Enrollment for audit or in extension does not count toward full time enrollment. Must be a U.S. Citizen (proof of citizenship must be produced at the time of hire - birth certificate, certificate of naturalization or a U.S. passport must be viewed - the document must be an original or certified copy).
Hours are flexible to accommodate class schedule. Work is generally performed Monday through Friday, between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. Contractors normally average 20 hours per week when school is in session; 40 hours per week maximum during semester/quarter breaks or vacations. Actual work schedule is arranged between the Navy work sponsor and the student contractor.
