Application Procedures
How to Apply
- Complete the Application for Student Employment.
- Please indicate the Task Number of the job listing on the application.
- Submit your application by email to Navy and Student Services Contracts at svasquez@foundation.sdsu.edu.
- Applications must be submitted before the posted close date.
General Information
- The Application for Student Employment is a general application to be used for all jobs posted.
- Submitted applications will be retained on file for approximately 6 months.
- Updated applications can be resubmitted via email to Navy and Student Services Contracts as needed.
- Application forms are also available at the following institutions career centers or student employment centers: CSU San Marcos, National University, Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego State University, University of California, San Diego, University of San Diego, and Alliant International University.
- Keep track of task numbers and posting end dates associated with your application. Questions cannot be answered without the above information.
- There are NO interviews. Screening and selection is completed on the basis of applications only.
- Normally a selection is made within seven work days after the close date of a job listing. The best qualified applicant will be contacted by telephone.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Work hours are flexible to accommodate class schedules. Work is typically performed Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Contractors may work 30 hours per week when school is in session; 40 hours per week maximum during semester, quarter breaks or vacations. The actual work schedule is arranged between work sponsor and student contractor. However, 20 hours per week during school and full time during the breaks is highly desirable.
