What services are provided by the SDSURF purchasing department?

Purchasing is able to provide you with a variety of services such as:

  • Locate sources for products and/or services
  • Qualify prospective suppliers
  • Assist with preparation of a statement of work or scope of services
  • Solicit bids
  • Evaluate and negotiate quotations/proposals for pricing, terms, and conditions
  • Complete contract documents and issue purchase orders
  • Expedite and follow-up on purchase orders
  • Assist with return of goods
  • Work with suppliers on disputes and termination of purchase agreement

What are the hours of operation for the purchasing department?

The purchasing department is available 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
