Avoiding unnecessary liability resulting in expensive litigation is also a very important risk management function. All employees of SDSURF are collectively responsible for protecting all of its assets.
SDSU Research Foundation incorporates numerous procedures to protect it against unplanned or accidental losses or to minimize losses resulting from these events. These procedures could involve numerous functions for example:
If it chooses to participate in an event, it believes warrants maximum protection against unplanned events or losses SDSURF may choose to do #2 & #3 above.
