Conflicts of Interest: A Primer for Principal Investigators and Project Staff

Date, Time & Location

  • 03/18/2009 – 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Summary

With grant sponsors and award recipients (such as SDSU) looking more closely at the terms of grants and contracts, it becomes important for faculty and administrators to be aware of both real and potential financial conflicts of interest. This workshop will explain the nature of conflicts of interest, why we should care about them, how, when, and why they must be disclosed, and how conflicts of interest can be managed. Several examples will be used for clarification.

If you would like to reserve a seat for this workshop, please contact Linda Valdez at lvaldez@foundation.sdsu.edu.
