Subj: Proposal Submissions During Coronavirus/COVID-19 Circumstances
As you know, our development specialists are working remotely to ensure your proposal submissions are routed and submitted on time. Staff are set up to work from home but are still transitioning their home equipment and technology to function with RF systems and services. They will respond as quickly as possible, but processing the work is taking longer than usual given the circumstances.
Proposal applications with due dates in the next three weeks will be given priority. If your application is due after April 10th, please be patient while staff finish working on proposals with earlier deadlines. If your deadline is a quick turnaround (two days or less) we will do our best to get the materials prepared and submitted on time. As is the case under usual conditions, there is always the risk of an unsuccessful submission due to technical difficulties and staff not having enough time to resolve prior to the deadline.
If you have other proposal needs, such as revised budgets or just-in-time document processing, these will be triaged and may be redistributed to another development specialist or SRD staff for processing.
Please remember that standard electronic routing policies still apply and your proposal must be approved by university officials prior to its submission.
Notifications about extensions of deadlines are being announced and you can find this information on the agency’s website, Grants.gov, or through the request for proposal/funding opportunity announcement. If you are unsure of where to find this information, please contact your development specialist. Information is also posted to the SDSURF COVID-19 page: https://www.foundation.sdsu.edu/important_notices_coronavirus.html.
Thank you for your understanding during this time. We look forward to assisting you with your proposals. If you have questions or other concerns, please contact me at jamison@sdsu.edu.
Stay well and safe!
