Subject: Important Information - SDSURF Telework
Dear SDSURF team,
I want to bring you up to date on what the research foundation is doing as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak. We are continuing to follow university and health agency guidelines with the goal of keeping our employees and community safe.
Our objective is to keep business operations functioning while at the same time moving to telework as soon as possible. Not all functions will be able to work remotely, however we are working on process changes and expansion of remote access tools to enable as many people as possible to telework.
We are asking all employees who are able to work from home to do so tomorrow, Monday, March 16th. For those unable to work from home, we are asking you to stay home unless contacted by your director and asked to report to work. All employees will remain in a paid status as we work through transitioning functions to remote access.
If you have equipment or work information you need to retrieve from the office, or if you have meetings or work you must complete tomorrow from your workstation, you are still able to come to the office, but we are encouraging as many people to work from home as possible. Please coordinate with your department director if you plan to come in but have not been asked to come in as essential personnel.
Thanks for your patience as we continue to navigate this rapidly changing situation. We will provide additional information tomorrow on our plans for work functions for the rest of this week.
Stay healthy!
