3. Award Received (At-Award)
Sponsored Research Contracting Services (SRCS) (At-Award)
Sponsored Research Contracting Services (SRCS) is responsible for processes that take place “at-award” including the receipt, review, negotiation, and acceptance of sponsored program agreements; the preparation, negotiation, and issuance of subawards; and coordination of compliance documentation with SDSU’s Research Support Services.
SRCS works closely with Sponsored Research Development (pre-award) and Sponsored Research Administration (post-award), as well as SDSU’s Research Support Services, to ensure that sponsor, SDSU, and SDSURF policies, particularly in compliance areas such as human and animal subjects, conflict of interest, cost sharing, export controls, responsible conduct of research, and environmental health and safety, are met. SRCS also initiates subcontracting for grants and contracts and assists with subrecipient monitoring.
See Subagreement Procedures in Expenditure Processing section of the Project Administration Guide.
